    Educational system @ New Zealand

    The educational certifications and qualifications are being issued and awarded by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). The educational system of New Zealand encompasses;

    • New Zealand has 8 government-funded universities. The admission to these universities is based on the Common Entrance Qualification test which has been conducted and authorised by the NZQA. 
    • Polytechnics- They are also known as Institutes of Technology. They offer a wide array of technical courses and there are 20 of them in total in the country.
    • Private Training Institutions- You can find 800+ educational centres that provide short term English Language education for international students and other immigrants.

    • Polytechnic Diploma Courses- NZ$ 13,500-16,000 per annumar
    • University Under Graduate Degrees- NZ$ 15,000-18,000 per annumEUR/year
    • Post Graduate Degrees- NZ$ 16,000 onwards and for MBA Programs -NZ$ 22,000 onwards

    Work and settlement rights

    • Students can work part-time for up to 20 hours per week during the course period and 40 hours per week during vacation
    • If you’re a student pursuing a postgraduate course in the country, your spouse is eligible to apply for a full-time work permit
